Cut & Fill Grading Supervisor

Location: Hillside Estate Subdivision, Residential Expansion Zone
Assignment Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Director of Terrain Conversion

Overview

Applications are currently being reviewed for supervisory personnel within the Hillside Estate Subdivision corridor. While all residents already contribute to terrain conversion through direct or indirect support functions, this process allows qualified applicants to request a more visible role in the reshaping of residential ground.

The Grading Supervisor oversees slope transformation, lot preparation, road base formation, runoff control, and terrain compliance across active hillside development phases. The work requires steady judgment, command presence, and an understanding that land becomes habitable only after prolonged correction.

This is a supervisory role, but not an autonomous one. The hillside does not decide its final form, and neither do you. Your task is to ensure that the machine sequence is carried out with discipline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct grading, fill placement, compaction, benching, and slope stabilization across subdivision lots
  • Coordinate operators, trucks, road base crews, and inspection flow
  • Maintain compliance with elevations, drainage paths, retaining plans, and build-pad geometry
  • Identify slippage risk, erosion potential, runoff failure, and terrain noncompliance before escalation
  • Manage schedule pressure, public adjacency, and weather exposure without disruption to output
  • Expand buildable ground into resistant hillside zones as directed

Required Qualifications

  • Background in grading, site development, subdivision work, civil earthmoving, or slope stabilization preferred
  • Ability to interpret plans, elevations, cut/fill targets, and drainage intent
  • Strong field authority and willingness to enforce production sequence
  • Comfort with dust, heat, steep drops, unstable soil behavior, and resident curiosity
  • Capacity to continue until the land reflects the document provided, regardless of prior form

Work Conditions

  • Active hillside operations with dust, vibration, exposed edges, and shifting terrain behavior
  • Long grading windows during seasonal opportunity periods
  • Frequent visibility to nearby communities who benefit from the finished geometry without needing to understand its cost
  • Accountability for post-rain outcomes and slope retention

Provisions & Medical Eligibility

  • Supervisor-tier ration allocation
  • Vehicle or fuel priority depending on assignment class
  • Controlled housing eligibility in select sectors
  • Standard medical stabilization
  • Premium Healthcare generally not included for this role
  • Respiratory protection above baseline issue distributed only when approved

Applications remain open until the hillside is fully obedient. If you can oversee the conversion of irregular ground into saleable certainty, you may request placement.
